1.【址:a g 9 559⒐ v i p】1"She says it has nothing to do with what you look like, or what you have. It has only to do with what you THINK of, and what you DO>." "I suppose she thinks she could be a princess if she was a beggar," said Lavinia. "Let us begin to call her Your Royal Highness."
2.Once, when she was relating the story of the search for Emily, Ermengarde saw her face suddenly change. A cloud seemed to pass over it and put out the light in her shining eyes. She drew her breath in so sharply that it made a funny, sad little sound, and then she shut her lips and held them tightly closed, as if she was determined either to do or NOT to do something. Ermengarde had an idea that if she had been like any other little girl, she might have suddenly burst out sobbing and crying. But she did not.
3.It had been all the easier to forget her because she had been suddenly called home for a few weeks. When she came back she did not see Sara for a day or two, and when she met her for the first time she encountered her coming down a corridor with her arms full of garments which were to be taken downstairs to be mended. Sara herself had already been taught to mend them. She looked pale and unlike herself, and she was attired in the queer, outgrown frock whose shortness showed so much thin black leg.
4."Is it--something that will frighten me?" she asked timorously.
5."Let us sit down," said Sara, "and I will tell you. It's so easy that when you begin you can't stop. You just go on and on doing it always. And it's beautiful. Emily, you must listen. This is Ermengarde St. John, Emily. Ermengarde, this is Emily. Would you like to hold her?"
6."Sara," she said, "do you think you can bear living here?"

计划指导

1.Sara turned round at the sound of her voice. It was her turn to be aghast. What would happen now? If Lottie began to cry and any one chanced to hear, they were both lost. She jumped down from her table and ran to the child.
2."I don't reproach myself because the speculation threatened to fail-- I reproach myself for losing my courage. I ran away like a swindler and a thief, because I could not face my best friend and tell him I had ruined him and his child."
3."Yes," said Sara, her eyes growing shocked and large in her small white face. "Miss Minchin has found us out."
4."She is certainly left a beggar," he replied. "And she is certainly left on your hands, ma'am--as she hasn't a relation in the world that we know of."
5.Jessie tittered, and she and Lavinia nudged each other in unison. All the girls looked up from their books to listen. Really, it always interested them a little when Miss Minchin attacked Sara. Sara always said something queer, and never seemed the least bit frightened. She was not in the least frightened now, though her boxed ears were scarlet and her eyes were as bright as stars.
6."No," said Sara, laughing. "It was my rat."

推荐功能

1.Janet and Nora exchanged glances.
2."My mamma!" said Sara, looking odd. "I don't believe she would mind in the least. She knows that stories belong to everybody."
3."That is explanation enough in itself," said Mr. Carmichael. "How could a man on the verge of brain fever judge sanely!"
4.It was agreed that Mr. St. John was to be told the plan they had made, and for the present the books were to be left in the attic.
5. "I was thinking," she answered.
6."Can I work?" she said. "If I can work it will not matter so much. What can I do?"

应用

1.Then Miss Amelia began to wring her fat hands and cry.
2."She is a doll I haven't got yet," she said. "She is a doll papa is going to buy for me. We are going out together to find her. I have called her Emily. She is going to be my friend when papa is gone. I want her to talk to about him."
3.The Indian gentleman's secretary stood still and looked round him as he thrust his tablets back into his pocket.
4、"But you will not have to stay for a very long time, little Sara," he had always said. "You will go to a nice house where there will be a lot of little girls, and you will play together, and I will send you plenty of books, and you will grow so fast that it will seem scarcely a year before you are big enough and clever enough to come back and take care of papa."
5、Ermengarde looked round the attic with a rather fearsome curiosity.

"I wish she hadn't gone so quick," she said. "I'm blest if she shouldn't have had a dozen." Then she turned to the child.

When she entered the room, she floated in with a few of the butterfly steps--and there sat Becky, nodding her cap sideways off her head.

  • 陈昊苏 08-02

Becky had been backing into the corner, twisting the hem of her apron in delighted suspense. She came forward, bobbing curtsies, but between Sara's eyes and her own there passed a gleam of friendly understanding, while her words tumbled over each other.

  • 金圣叹 08-02

"I will write and tell you all about it," he answered, laughing. "And I will send you pictures of muzhiks and things. Run into the house. It is a hideous damp night. I would rather stay with you than go to Moscow. Good night! Good night, duckies! God bless you!" And he ran down the steps and jumped into the brougham.

  • 徐中民 08-01

{It was poor Becky who crawled out, and her cap was knocked on one side, and her face was red with repressed crying.

  • 毛燕军 07-31

    "Good-bye," said Sara.}

  • 洛尔-邓 07-31

"You are sure no one comes near this place but herself, and that she will not return and surprise us. She would be frightened if she found us here, and the Sahib Carrisford's plan would be spoiled."

  • 吴新宇 07-31

"Isn't it?" gasped Lottie, and as she looked round it she bit her lip. She was a spoiled child yet, but she was fond enough of her adopted parent to make an effort to control herself for her sake. Then, somehow, it was quite possible that any place in which Sara lived might turn out to be nice. "Why isn't it, Sara?" she almost whispered.

  • 徐衍璞 07-30

"I always was a thin child," she said bravely, "and I always had big green eyes."

  • 蒲欣 07-28

{"It is the prisoner in the next cell."

Sara got on to the window-seat, which was a big, deep one, and, tucking up her feet, sat with her hands clasped round her knees.
