It once again proves that some politicians in the United States would resort to all means in their fanatical effort to attack China.
Richard Haass, president of the Council on Foreign Relations, wrote in an opinion published by The Washington Post that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo delivered a blistering speech about China.
Stating that China firmly rejects and condemns the U.S. government's so-called sanctions against Chinese officials, Zhao stressed that the U.S. behavior openly meddles with Hong Kong affairs, blatantly interferes in China's internal affairs, and gravely violates international law and basic norms governing international relations.
Noting that China achieved freedom from imperialism and colonialism, Wang said freedom, democracy and rule of law are codified in China's Constitution and form a key part of core socialist values.
Spokesman Wang Wenbin made the remarks at a press briefing when asked to comment on reports saying the United States plans to sell arms to Taiwan again.
China has no intention to fight a "diplomatic war" with the United States as it will only hurt the interests of the two peoples even more, Wang said.
The Egyptian Communist Party supports China's rights in safeguarding sovereignty, security and its development interest, and believes that any attempt to sow dissension between the CPC and the Chinese people is doomed to fail, it said.

Almost all regional and international hotspot issues require a coordinated response from China, the United States and other countries," he said.
They have wantonly interfered in Hong Kong affairs, with some of them being responsible for the disturbances following the now-withdrawn ordinance amendments, or U.S. sanctions on China and the HKSAR, said the spokesperson.
-- China rejects any attempt to create a so-called "new Cold War".
Noting that the situation in Hong Kong has improved markedly since the promulgation and enforcement of the law on safeguarding national security, the spokesperson said the Chinese government will remain firmly committed to the implementation of the "one country, two systems" principle, and resolutely oppose interference in Hong Kong affairs by any external forces.
